Phoenician refers to a language or a group of dialects, spoken in Byblos, Tyre, Sidon, in Phoenicia, a region corresponding to present-day Lebanon, and in the cities founded by the Phoenicians on the coasts of the Mediterranean.
It's a language closed to Syriac.
